The mission and purpose of the Foundation for Psychoanalytic Expansion and Accessibility to address disparities in the provision of quality mental health care for underserved and under-resourced communities. It is our aim to expand access to psychoanalytic education and psychoanalytic therapies to diverse practitioner and patient populations, respectively.
Resources for Training
Psychoanalytic training provides an advanced level of preparation for dealing with psychological issues in greater depth, in situations of greater complexity, or both. However, psychoanalytic training programs are often cost prohibitive and therefore inaccessible to many. The Foundation intends to provide funding to qualified mental health professionals for education and training in the valuable field of psychoanalysis.
Psychoanalysis for Individuals
Multiple times of therapy per week with a trained psychoanalyst provides individuals with the tools to effectively resolve problems in living and unleash human potential. Engaging in this type of depth oriented therapy can be out of reach for financial, geographic, or social reasons. We intend provide aid and relief to patients seeking and in need of quality mental health care that can be offered through the field of psychoanalysis and its’ practitioners.
Support for Communities
Mental health happens within the context of a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the training program or consulting room to help ensure individuals have the necessary support to do achieve their highest potential.
